Outstanding Kimberley Experience We had an absolutely amazing experience with Kimberley Adventure Tours and couldn’t recommend them highly enough! A special mention has to go to Jacob, who was absolutely exceptional. His knowledge of the Kimberley was exemplary — he was incredibly informative, passionate and always happy to share his knowledge, which made the experience even more memorable. And then there was the food! Jacob and Pav’s cooking skills were amazing — enjoying such delicious meals while traveling through such an incredible part of Australia was definitely a highlight. The food was consistently fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. The whole experience was made even more special by the wonderful team (Jacob) and the attention to detail throughout the trip. This was our first experience of camping and four wheel driving. We think this is the only way to see the Kimberley’s . Our guides the Dusty Boys made this holiday special- from the early starts to see the sites before the crowds and heat , the driving guidance, the stories , flora , fauna and history of the Kimberley’s, the amazing Gorges, caves , creeks and waterfalls we swam at , and the incredible dinners cooked over an open fire. It’s a small group of vehicles so easy to connect and share the experience with the group. Highly recommend this holiday to those who love an adventure and getting out into nature. What a trip! I would recommend Kimberley Adventures to anyone. It’s one of the best tours I have done. The Kimberley is stunning and we got to see it on a real adventure. The vehicles were great - Land Cruisers with Tommy Campers on the back … so it was glamping at its best. We stayed at private campgrounds on some stations like Larawa Station, Mt Elizabeth and El Questro. The itinerary was full on with early mornings and full days. Lots of hikes and swimming in waterholes. The food was unbelievable… campfire dinners like roast lamb, Thai kangaroo salad, barramundi and Thai curry. But I think the most outstanding part was the guidance from Jacob Fisher and Luke Pavich. To give you an idea of how good Jacob is, we nicknamed him “Siri”. He’s the funniest, most knowledgeable, humble and patient guide I’ve met. He has a really in-depth knowledge of the local indigenous culture and a strong connection.

So I decided to give myself a couple of weeks after the end of our trip, just to see if the glow of the sunset over Cable Beach on our last day slipped away. It has not. Kimberley Adventure Tours were recommended to us as one of the most fulfilling travel experience by a well travelled friend.  We wholeheartedly now agree. Jacob and Bryony were the perfect hosts, guides, cooks, 2way radio stars, knowledgeable, secret campsites finders and 4WD instructors-they are gold. For myself and teenage daughter this was a trip of a lifetime. Words cannot sum up the amazing experiences and care that we have had; Jacob’s deep knowledge and obvious love for Australia and for the region and his ability and joy in sharing this love was infectious. Bryony’s warmth and welcome made us feel like we were at home from day one. It has been exceptional from the first email to the last drop off at our hotel at the end of the trip. We have learnt so much, hiked and swum in gorges, creeks and rivers and seeing my daughter bundle up enough courage to jump off rocks whilst everyone whooped and applauded is a super special memory  … and we’ve eaten amazingly well. How Jacob & Bryony created such stunning meals off nothing more than a campfire and a little gas stove is mind blowing. And that’s before the magic of the Kimberley, the secret spots and beautifully peaceful campsites … and the adventures themselves. So a huge heartfelt thank you to Jacob, Bryony & Flynn. We went on the tour a couple of weeks back and are still missing the group and our wonderful guides. The Kimberley is a must see area of Australia and this is a superb way to go about it. Our guides Jacob, Bryony and Flynn ensured we had an amazing trip. Their knowledge, amazing personalities and seamless organisation made the trip one of the best travel experience we have had. Incredible camp fire prepared meals, fun camping in stunning locations and plenty of adventures ensured a great time was had by all members of the group who ranged from teenagers to older clients. We have just finished a magnificent 10 day tag a long tour with Jacob, Bryney and Flin. We had the most wonderful time and were so impressed with every aspect of the tour. The special places that we got to see were just amazing, the delicious food cooked for us each day was healthy and tasty. The private camp sites were such a special treat and a lovely way to see the Kimberley’s. All 3 guides were knowledgeable and went out of their way to make our holiday so memorable. This is a cracker of a tour and I defy anyone to miss it! The itinerary is packed full of astoundingly beautiful and often secret places, swimming holes and gorges galore; our tour leaders Jacob and Briony kept us moving along so that we were able to fit so much in a day, while feeeding us admirably with camp oven dinners around the campfire and fresh salads and meat to go in our lunchwraps, cooked breaky sometimes, all seemed to miraculously appear! . Helpful when we needed it, Jacob regaled us with Dreamtime stories while keeping close tally of vehicles on the track, nothing was too much trouble and I always felt safe in a sometimes wild environment! If you're considering a Kimberley adventure, stop researching and book this tour. If you're wondering whether it's worth taking young children, don't hesitate. Our kids had the adventure of a lifetime, and so did we. It was, without question, one of the most extraordinary travel experiences our family has ever had. What makes Kimberley Adventure Tours so special isn't just the spectacular landscapes (which genuinely exceeded every expectation we had), it's the people and the way the experience is delivered. Jacob was simply exceptional. His depth of knowledge about the Kimberley its geology, history, wildlife, ecology and Indigenous culture added so much richness to every single day. He shared stories with genuine respect and cultural awareness, helping us understand not just what we were seeing, but why these places matter. His passion for the Kimberley is infectious. On top of that, I honestly don't think there's anything Jacob can't fix! Jakob approached everything with calm confidence, humour and kindness. And somehow, after long days of adventure, he would produce incredible meals over a campfire that became a highlight in themselves. Bryony was equally wonderful and such an important part of what made the tour so memorable. She has an incredible ability to make everyone feel welcome, cared for and included. Her warmth, positivity and genuine kindness created such a relaxed atmosphere, and she seemed to anticipate what people needed before they even asked. Whether she was sharing stories, supporting families or simply making people laugh, she brought so much energy and heart to the experience. Our children absolutely adored her, and she made them feel like valued members of the team throughout the journey. Travelling as a family with young children can sometimes feel daunting, but this tour struck the perfect balance between adventure and safety. The smaller group size meant it felt incredibly personal. Our children were welcomed, encouraged and included from day one, and we always felt completely safe and supported. The exclusive campsites, incredible hikes, swimming holes, 4WD experiences and evenings around the campfire created memories we'll treasure forever. OUTSTANDING TRIP - ONE OF THE BEST One of our best trips ever. Jacob and Pav were brilliant guides, chefs, story tellers, hole diggers and generally great fun. Pre-trip organisation was excellent. Off road driving with sights information and swimming. Highly recommend everyone should do the tag along trip. Absolutely one of the best holidays we’ve had. 10 Stars If We Could - Best Family Holiday Ever! We joined a Kimberley Adventure Tour (KAT) as a family of five (with three boys aged 9, 12, and 14), and every one of us has said it was the best holiday we've ever had. We haven’t stopped talking about it since we got back!We hadn’t quite appreciated before we arrived in the Kimberley that it’s made up of vast, privately owned pastoral leasehold land rather than national parks, like other outback areas. Thanks to KAT’s owner Tim’s planning, years of experience and deep relationships across the region, we got access to incredible, remote spots that most people would never know existed, let alone be able to enjoy as a private bush camp. It felt like we were getting a behind-the-scenes pass to the Kimberley!The tour itself was brilliantly run. Our guides, Jacob and Marjorie, were knowledgeable, supportive, and just great fun. We always felt safe, even when we were being challenged—whether it was off-road 4WDing (so much fun and really well coached), climbing and scrambling up rock walls in gorges, or swimming into remote waterfalls. The environment they created made it easy for everyone to push themselves and have an awesome adventure.And the food—wow. As parents, having breakfast, lunch, and dinner sorted was a dream. Marjorie’s camp cooking was next level (her bush donuts were a massive hit with the kids!).The Kimberley itself is absolutely magical. Even if you’ve already explored places like Kakadu or Uluru, the Kimberley has a unique, wild beauty that’s hard to describe. It’s something you have to experience at least once in your life. An adventure of a lifetime Would give this trip ten stars if I could! This was an adventure of a lifetime, with the most beautiful camp sites, swimming holes and hikes. Incredibly well led by our guides Jacob and Majorie who were guides and teachers, as well as chefs, car mechanics and also great fun to be around. I could never have tackled this trip on my own but I was in great hands - don’t look elsewhere to fulfill your bucket list! Now I only wish I could travel like this all over the country. Epic Kimberley Family Adventure Wow! Epic! Unreal! Incredible! It's hard to put into words how amazing and special this trip is. In my opinion it's the ONLY way to do the Kimberley. Self driving a 4WD, but with the support of a crew is the best of both worlds; Do it yourself, but back up for support. Then there's the itinerary - 20 years of building relationships and finding secret private camps means Tim and the team at KAT have put together the ultimate 10 day trip. We are a family of six with a 15 year old boy, 13 and 11 year old girls, and a 9 year old boy. They said it was the best holiday they've ever been on - and we've been skiing, been to Disneyland etc.. I've seen them grow and challenge themselves so much in the past 10 days and do things they would never have done before. We are a family with very limited camping experience - and everyone took to it like a duck to water. That's in large part to the great organisation by KAT. Everything is thought of - comfortable sleeping, either in the pop up camper, or the kids in swags under the stars; delicious food - breakfast, lunch and dinner each day is a gourmet - you'd be hard pressed to eat that well at a decent hotel; and the perfect balance of swimming, hiking and exploring. The guides Jacob and Marjorie are phenomenal! They bring a huge amount of knowledge - flora, fauna, geology, Indigenous history, pastoralist history etc.... and all of it relayed with great story telling by Jacob! The access to private and exclusive campsites by KAT is a huge differentiator, as is there ability to secure private timeslots or exploit the best times to visit gorges and attractions so you have them to yourselves, or see the best of them before the hordes might arrive. We also had one too many people for our vehicle but the kids took turns rotating with the guides, and quickly preferred riding with them anyway! The itinerary is also constructed in such a way that every day surpasses the last for awe and wonder. I could not recommend this trip highly enough. If you have the time and the means - this is the only way to do the Kimberley. It truly is a trip of a lifetime that will bring your family together and create memories that will last forever. Best guided holiday ever This was not just a holiday; it was an absolute bucket list experience! It was an incredible 10-day journey that took us to some of the most breathtaking wild places in the Kimberly. Our amazing guides, Jacob and Marjorie, showed us gorgeous gorges, peaceful swimming holes and waterfalls, and beautiful camping locations. And let me tell you, Jacob and Marjorie are culinary geniuses! They cooked up a storm every day with something different and absolutely delicious. Our Tommy camper was surprisingly easy to use and incredibly comfortable. If you’re looking for a trip of a lifetime, you simply can’t miss this fantastic Kimberly adventure. Amazing outback experience. Just fantastic Well, really, It was a long held ‘bucket list’ and WOW did it live up to the dream! Kimberly Adventure Tours had several negotiated agreements with landowners so exclusivity was a given. I think you do need to understand the outback experience and we had a great group of fellow travellers however the absolute key were our guides Jacob and Marjorie. Driving your own vehicle through beautiful rugged county and staying at private campsites is a great way to experience the Kimberley. Kimberley adventure The trip of a lifetime. Blown away by the wild beauty of The Kimberley. The concept of the fully-guided/catered tagalong tour suited us perfectly. We loved the experience of self-drive, and were very impressed with the comfortable rooftop camper and new vehicles. Our guides Jacob and Marjorie were brilliant - guiding us through 4WD-ing, the Kimberley and its history, landscape, flora and fauna. Enjoyed the often humorous recount of stories of the region! Food - most cooked on campfire - was all excellent. Loads of hiking and swimming. We honestly thought each day could not be better than the last, but the itinerary and The Kimberley just kept delivering! Private campsites - off the busy tourist route - most nights a highlight. Could not fault any part of this amazing tour! If you love the outdoors, are open to a bit of adventure, and want to experience a truly incredible part of outback Australia, I’d highly recommend! Brilliant way explore the iconic Gibb River Road and beyond.
